Candy and Malingo visited Yzil between the events of the first and second books, while on the run from Houlihan. While there, they saw The Princess of Breath create a purple squid.

It is a lush and temperate island and it is here that the Creatrix - The Princess Breath breathes new life into existence out onto the Sea of Izabella. Thick foliage and bright sun are found here, as well as creatures of all shapes and sizes.
